Getting closer March 26, 2009

Scales n Tales has been waxed, motors tuned, and itching to get on the water. We did get down the shore on Monday and checked out numerous fisherman from Barneget Bay to the west end of the Raritan. I saw a few flounder in a bucket at Shark River, thats it. Better days are ahead of us. I think there will be a good run in and should start around the 2nd week of April (6th). I know there are some good bass in the bay as my friends have been catching a few keepers that are weighing 15-17 lbs. I will be running a flounder special this year,it is posted on my rates. There ae only a few dates left in June for the prime time bass run, but we did manage quite a few real good trips in July and even into early August last year. If anyone is interested in sharks give me a call and let me tell you what we encountered last year, inshore. Hope everyone has a safe, productive year………..

Waiting for the season to begin 2009

Well, the cover came off the boat last week and the motors are scheduled for a little maintence. Expectations are high for this season. I think there will be a decent flounder run this year, alot of fish reported by the clammers this winter. Bass fishing was red hot again down south this winter, with many BIG fish taken. Fluke fishing should be solid again with both inshore and offshore areas providing steady action. I hope that the inshore shark bite developes in July and of course that the Mudhole Bluefin bite returns. We would like to thank all of you guys (and ladies) that fished with us last year and are looking foward to fishing with all of you again this year.
