Season is over, quick recap

Thanks to everyone that fished with me this past year, you all made this a very productive year, with lots of fish hitting the deck along with many, many good times and laughs.Just got the boat back home after a unbelievably great striper run that is still going strong! I know I have not posted the last month but this was the best fall run in a long time. Lots of fish, and plenty of large bass. We had a 32lber caught by Bucky and Renaldo 2 weeks ago!! The Trebus boys put another nice fish on the boat last Sunday (check out the pics) Still lots of smaller, fish but still enough quality keepers to send everyone home with the white meat!! To recap the season we had Mr Carew 48-1/2lb bass as the big fish this year, along with dozens of fish over 40lbs!! There were a couple of trips that we could not get the bass to bite, but the Striper season was nothing to sneeze at. You guys put up with some real nasty weather in June but hung in there. I am sure sponge Bob is enjoying Zempe’s Rod n Reel. Summer time got us off shore and into a real good bluefin bite. Fluking was great all summer long, just had to fish the rough stuff which is frustrating at time, but put 2 fluke in the boat at 11lbs!!! Skinny water Al and yours truely hooked them. Mahi fishing was solid with large Mahi being boated, Dan hooking and catching a 20lber was the big fish after a great battle on a beautiful day. I will be in the same marina next year and hope that you all found the Sandy Hook Bay Marina to be a great location. My plan for next year is to start fishing as soon as the fish arrive, early April which is clamming and trolling then to switch to the live bunker at the end of the month. May and June are booking up fast, if you are interested in a date, please give me a call. Thanks for fishing with me and my crew, have a safe  and happy holiday season, Looking foward to seeing you in 2010!! We fished 4 Tournaments this year: 1st place- NJHUNTERS striper, 2nd place Sandy Hook Bay Fluke,–4th place Jersey Coast Anglers FLuke, 10th place ASA striper….
